Questions and answers

When is this useful?

Many forms limit attachment size: visa and government applications, job applications, insurance claims, listings and ID photos. Phones take 3–8 MB photos, while forms often accept only a few hundred kilobytes.

How do I compress an image to 500 KB?

Add one photo or several. Cyberpik tries several quality levels and keeps the highest one that fits the 500 KB limit. If that is not enough, it slightly reduces the image dimensions. Download the result with one click.

Is it free?

Yes, completely. No sign-up, no file limit and no watermark.

Are my photos safe?

Yes. Compression happens entirely in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded anywhere.

Does it work with iPhone photos (HEIC)?

Yes. Cyberpik opens HEIC files and saves the result as JPG, which every form accepts.

Does compression ruin quality?

At 200 KB and above the difference is usually invisible on screen. For very small limits like 50 KB, also reduce the width to 800–1280 px.
